[At 2:15AM, the journals suddenly blare out an alarm, followed by this message.]

EMERGENCY. EMERGENCY. This is an emergency.

The following occupants of the Luceti enclosure must report to the teleporters in twenty minutes. You are required as reinforcements in Region 13. Bring all necessary armaments with you. You will be teleported directly into combat.

Anyone who fails to comply will be forcibly escorted to the teleporters by droids.

This is not a drill. I repeat: this is not a drill. You have twenty minutes.

[The message repeats twice more, the alarm continuing until the twenty minutes has elapsed. No questions will be answered.]

[When his journal suddenly blares up with an alarm followed by this post, Minato's quick to pick it up. He's currently in his office, re-reading some scrolls and notes while drinking coffee, when the post came up.

A draft? And an urgent one, too. I wonder...

He immediately reads the list of people being sent as reinforcements, counting every Konoha shinobi he knows. Kakashi, Lee, Neji, Sasuke, Shikamaru and Itachi. That's six people from his world. He's inwardly relieved not a member of his family is going but he supposes with how urgent this post seems to be (and how it seems to be recurring), they have been woken up by now.

Putting down his mug, he decides to give a few words to the shinobi who are going. Since they only have twenty minutes to be there, Minato decides to just talk to the ones he'd be able to spot right off the bat then assign this person to relay the message. After all, he won't need twenty minutes to be near the teleporters.]

[Neji's one of the early arrivals, along with Lee; he looks grimly pleased to be going out. It'll be into danger, yes, but combat is what he was born for. Being out of it this long has left him feeling disused, given him too much time to brood.

Time to be a shinobi again.

He looks up when Minato approaches, and frowns slightly.]

Yondaime-sama? I didn't think you were on the list...

[He shakes his head at Neji's words as he regards him.]

You're right, I'm not on the list. But I'm not about to let my fellow Konoha shinobi go without at least talking to them first before seeing them off. As a Hokage, I feel obliged to do so.

[And not only obliged, he also wants to do so.]

[In real terms, Minato has never been the Hokage Neji looked up to; the Kyuubi attacked when he was less than a year and a half old. But in Konoha he has shown himself to take responsibility, and Neji sees him as a respectable authority figure.]

Thank you. This isn't an easy time of morning to be up. [It's a quality of a good leader; Neji recognizes that and respects it. By coming to them at this ungodly hour just to see them off...]
