Greetings, Luceti. I see you've managed to open the proverbial Pandora's Box. I was wondering when that would happen.

More seriously, however- no doubt most of you have noticed the widespread issue that's resulted from that decision. Some might even recall a similar experience occurring years ago. If you're concerned about the affected residents meeting their unfortunate ends once again, well, that's unlikely. Death wouldn't be a particularly beneficial alternative to what you've unleashed this time.

However, there's still the matter of sorting out the spirits now. I'm interested in hearing what you lot have already tried when it comes to dealing with what you've unlocked, but my advice for getting the black spirit to relinquish control is to let the rest do the work for you. Last time this happened, I was able to fix it, but it's beyond my power now.

Discuss it amongst yourselves, trade your theories; I'm sure you'll come up with something. I'll help with what I can. Sooner would be better, though- I make no promises that my former comrades won't take measures to deal with you if this isn't resolved internally within a few weeks.

Why would they possess people? Does Twila have a reason or is this what it does normally? But this is not what the other spirits do normally if last time was caused by a "worldwide shift." If we are supposed to "let the rest do the work for ~~you~~ us" are the other spirits doing this because they need to possess people to do it? Is there another reason?

[And then more quickly, almost as a scrawl:] I am sorry for asking so many questions.

It is good that someone is asking them, so do not feel sorry for doing so. Unfortunately, as I said, I don't have all of the information. If John is willing, he may supply more. For now, I can only tell you what I have:

- We don't know Twila's reasoning at present, unless those under her influence have gained any insight for it. The only thing I've been able to reason is that she had been locked away for a long time, and this is her way of making her presence known. It's been said that her nature is unbalanced - chaotic. So in a sense, this could just be a natural reaction to gaining freedom and wanting to spread her influence over us and the environment.

- As for last time, we were told that it was a worldwide shift that we should have been protected from, but the barrier had been cracked and we were left vulnerable. What happened to us as a result was described as an "evolution", but we weren't given much more information than that, or why the organization wanted to kill us for it if it was not properly taken care of. So we don't know why they bonded to us last time, though this time we are aware that there are different circumstances.

- We don't know the reasons, which is why we've entered this dialogue to begin with. When ... one spirit is bonded with you, it's impossible to communicate with them - at this point, their will is overlapping ours. And I've found that I can't contact any of the others in the usual way, either. ~~When I haven't been~~ -- So perhaps ... there is something more they can do by acting through us than they can on their own, because they do not have physical bodies, or even the means to speak.

- Which ... I wonder if something would happen were someone to try and communicate with them in the normal way. Someone unaffected by this but has had some experience with contacting the spirits would be my best suggestion. I don't know if they would try to reach out to someone they haven't made any bonds with, but then again, they may be possessing those who haven't communicated with them at all.

I'm not affected but I've only done the stuff we learned in school. Kipinn's easiest 'cause of air. If you walked me through it I don't mind trying, though, Sifu!!!

I think Chien's unaffected too but I dunno if he knows spirit stuff.

Thank you Ikki. We'll have to see if there are any others as well, but it's something to keep in mind... we just need to find a way to make a negotiation work. The problem is the spirits can't convey their desires... verbally, and if one isn't familiar with them, it might be even more difficult if the right questions aren't asked.

After all this is over, can we do extra lessons on the spirit stuff? I want to be able to help out next time anything like this ever happens.

Of course we can. I think we all have a lot to learn from this experience, whatever the resolution may be.

I have never heard the spirits before, but my wings have also grown. So they are also possessing people who have not communicated with them.

I see; thank you. That's definitely something for us to keep in mind as well.

It's the same for me. I haven't even been here a full month, and I wasn't really aware of the spirits beyond their names.

I'm not affected, but I just got back a few weeks ago. I don't really remember what it took to talk with the spirits, but I think Nala was easiest for me.

I'm not sure if this'll help, but it looks like Twila's also affecting people who aren't really... suited, I guess is the word? Maybe it's something internal, like... I don't know. If they're not really happy, or... depressed. Or something else.

Maybe it's not just darkness and chaos and all that. [Maybe it would've come to him, too, if he hadn't gone home.]

Unbalanced... perhaps a sense of need? Or perhaps just latching wherever it can because it's free now. If the other spirits hadn't started to intervene, her influence could very well be over the entire enclosure...

There's a lot more to the story than what we can see on the surface.

I haven't talked with a lot of people affected by Twila. [Just one, and it wasn't a long conversation either.] But I think you're right about the sense of need thing. I don't think it's just anybody. It seems to just... I don't know how to describe it. Want?

I'm sorry, I really don't know a lot about any of this. [He'd largely been kept inside, being unaffected, and being warned away from a lot of things by either his original or the people he's living with.]

Don't apologize for speaking up, Luke. You're offering a new perspective to the mix, and having that is important.

I guess so... I just wish I knew more about it. Some of these people are my friends.
