Greetings, Luceti. I see you've managed to open the proverbial Pandora's Box. I was wondering when that would happen.

More seriously, however- no doubt most of you have noticed the widespread issue that's resulted from that decision. Some might even recall a similar experience occurring years ago. If you're concerned about the affected residents meeting their unfortunate ends once again, well, that's unlikely. Death wouldn't be a particularly beneficial alternative to what you've unleashed this time.

However, there's still the matter of sorting out the spirits now. I'm interested in hearing what you lot have already tried when it comes to dealing with what you've unlocked, but my advice for getting the black spirit to relinquish control is to let the rest do the work for you. Last time this happened, I was able to fix it, but it's beyond my power now.

Discuss it amongst yourselves, trade your theories; I'm sure you'll come up with something. I'll help with what I can. Sooner would be better, though- I make no promises that my former comrades won't take measures to deal with you if this isn't resolved internally within a few weeks.

Are you referring to the spirits or someone else?

The spirits, the possessed... it's possible that some may not want to be released from this new power, or may find the very notion of all of this insulting. And Twila doesn't seem the type to want to go away quietly, not after this display. Perhaps it is Twila that needs to be offered something... something from the other spirits that revile it.

A compromise or truce? Or a promise...oath, maybe, not to lock her away again.

The problem would be in people being willing to give chaos embodified the credit for being able to keep up her terms of the promise. Keeping rules, even oaths, are not...something chaos is known for.

I'm okay with it!!! Everyone deserves a second chance, even if they're chaotic.

And that is the sort of behavior that must have led to Twila being locked away to begin with. If there were a way to do so again as a last resort, at the very least trying to create a fair solution while waiting for that to be prepared just in case, would still be beneficial to most parties.

Honestly, Raine, I think if there's any hint of 'if you don't agree, we'll lock you away again', the deal won't happen. That might have been how she was tricked into the box in the first place.

The whole point of this is to get her, and the others, out of us, right? Back to the partnerships they usually allow rather than this gradual take over. I don't think we need a prison for that; we just need to find an agreement that will keep their fights, if any, on a level that doesn't endanger the people in here.

I wasn't fond of the idea myself; it was only a thought.

In any case we all seem to be drawing circles around that conclusion, except of course, we're lacking the motivation that would get the spirits to accept that.

I have a question!

What do the spirits actually usually want? I mean do they want people using them or land or what?

Well, as I said, they can't exactly speak to tell us that... I can only sense from Nala, for example, that she has a love of imparting her gift to others, and even moreso of having the knowledge being used. The others are less open about it, some even making themselves difficult to find.

So maybe they want people to learn from them a little bit? But not all of them...

Well, if you think of it... they don't have physical form. So while they are one with nature, they can't draw from it or make use of it the way people can. They communicate to us how we can use it for ourselves, after all ... so perhaps they're using us now, the way we've used them.

...Do you think they mind being used?

Well, they do eventually teach those who seek them out. But I wonder if some might start to get bothered if the person moves on from them completely without looking back, after all the trouble gone through to contact them in the first place...

So that's why they might be claiming people?

No, I don't think that has anything to do with it. They're claiming people in response to the appearance of Twila. If we could only get each person who is affected to relay what they feel in relation to that spirit, we can start to get somewhere.

Unfortunately, there is a large majority of people who are either avoiding this entry, or don't have much to say on the matter...

Or their spirit partner doesn't want 'em to say anything?

Perhaps. But I'll see what I can do.

Well then maybe we need to start talking. No decisions, no threats. Just find out what everyone wants first and then go from there. That's the only way we're going to get this taken care of without bloodshed of some sort.

We need neutral grounds for them to come together on, probably best to do so in person. And then we want to be sure that Twila isn't frightened by the numbers or that the others wouldn't jump to conclusions about what's going on. We need mediators ...

It would help if more people would speak up, or look at the journals.

There aren't that many people who aren't. However, we do need cooperation from everyone involved.

Trying to get this village to do anything together as a whole tends to never quite pan out.
