Greetings, Luceti. I see you've managed to open the proverbial Pandora's Box. I was wondering when that would happen.

More seriously, however- no doubt most of you have noticed the widespread issue that's resulted from that decision. Some might even recall a similar experience occurring years ago. If you're concerned about the affected residents meeting their unfortunate ends once again, well, that's unlikely. Death wouldn't be a particularly beneficial alternative to what you've unleashed this time.

However, there's still the matter of sorting out the spirits now. I'm interested in hearing what you lot have already tried when it comes to dealing with what you've unlocked, but my advice for getting the black spirit to relinquish control is to let the rest do the work for you. Last time this happened, I was able to fix it, but it's beyond my power now.

Discuss it amongst yourselves, trade your theories; I'm sure you'll come up with something. I'll help with what I can. Sooner would be better, though- I make no promises that my former comrades won't take measures to deal with you if this isn't resolved internally within a few weeks.

I wasn't referring to talking to the spirits. I don't think there's any harm in what any of them are doing.

Truly an unusual viewpoint.

Though really, the threat of harm in this seems to be coming from the Malnosso.

And every soul who has not said a word about stopping that course of action, should they choose to pursue it. There's quite a lot of mention of talking, but only to get rid of the spirit. So, they've made up their minds. We're to just go along with their idea or suffer worse, as far as they seem concerned.

There's been little discussion of how they might prevent the Malnosso from harming us while still taking into consideration what we might want.

One does wonder if, with the full cooperation of the spirits, we might able to combat our captors on that point entirely. Though I imagine the compliant attitude comes largely from the fact that the Malnosso hold most of the cards in this situation, as frustrating as it is.

But yes. It all seems focused on getting rid of the spirits without any consideration to the fact that there may be people who rather like their current situation.

I don't wanna get rid of anyone, but I think everyone probably needs to go back to normal, especially since apparently they'll all die if they don't.

Then I think it's important to try to figure something out that makes everyone happy! Spirits and the rest of us alike!

It's a situation I am rather used to, I'm afraid. Others make their decisions, and I must comply. This... presence... has made it quite possible not to merely assent to what is chosen for me.

I know the bonds of society have rendered many a person powerless in their home lands. But does the same hold true in general here?

I am always glad to hear of people fighting the stricture of rules.

Not everyone is inclined toward rebellion against the lives they've known, I'm afraid.

Because I know myself. Open rebellion will not last once this influence goes away.

I think it prudent that we negotiate for the continued influence of this spirit as a teacher at the least. Then you will have its strength to rely upon even if you are forcibly separated, yes?

Be clear in letting others know the benefit you have found from Twila. It makes a nice counter point to the tiresome fear of darkness.
