[Like so many others, Jean was asleep when the alarms went off. Her X-training kicked in when the sound started to blare, and she had rolled out of bed and was crouching on the floor before she was even fully aware of what was going on. She blinked, confused and a bit groggy even through all the adrenaline. Jean was the type who preferred to wake naturally, rising before her alarm had a chance to go off. Waking up to an alarm was just all sorts of a terrible way to start a day.

Jean quickly slipped into her uniform, again, letting her training kick in. She was most used to fighting in her uniform, and there was no call not for it. She contemplating going to her earthquake survival kit she kept under her bed, but most of it's provisions were meant for setting up camp, and stationary survival. Being teleported into combat didn't sound like a good place to be bringing such a bulky kit.
Next things next, she went to see who of her unfortunate housemates still needed rousing. She was glad Scott wasn't chosen, but she felt bad for how much he was inevitably going to worry. ]
