The following occupants of the Luceti enclosure must report to the teleporters in twenty minutes. You are required as reinforcements in Region 13. Bring all necessary armaments with you. You will be teleported directly into combat.

Anyone who fails to comply will be forcibly escorted to the teleporters by droids.

This is not a drill. I repeat: this is not a drill. You have twenty minutes.

[The message repeats twice more, the alarm continuing until the twenty minutes has elapsed. No questions will be answered.]

[Well. It sounds like a field trip is in order. And so much of the house has been called in.

Tear at least is a soldier like him, as is Asch. He doesn't mind acting out a duty as a soldier in this world, if it brings him closer to understanding this world's mysteries and gives him a chance at making a difference. And towards protecting those whose lives he's somehow ascribed value too.

Damn. All the other familiar names on the list do trouble him. Did they really have to be dragged into this affair? Natalia and Anise. Luke and Ion.

But Jade knows that it would be in vain to argue with the journals. All he can do is suit himself up and make the most of these twenty minutes, in terms of preparations.

"You will be teleported directly into combat."

He'll have himself fully suited up in record time, in his full military regalia and with his lance in hand. Then, it's a matter of making a rounds of the house as soon as possible - making sure that the rest of the house is awake and as prepared as possible.

Then, it's time to march to the teleporters. To battle once more.]

[How could she not be awake? Six (seven?) alarms all blaring at once, nothing she tries can shut it off, and within minutes she's in the living room (in her pajamas and robe, looking about as disheveled as she ever has) face-to-face with Colonel Curtiss. She hasn't seen the list yet.]

[The alarm is sudden and loud, and is enough to make Zuko suddenly sit up in bed. His journal has never done that before. Quickly rubbing the sleep from his eyes he opens it and... he's on the list. Along with his uncle and some others he knows.

Twenty minutes isn't exactly a lot of time.

Tossing away the sheets he quickly gets dressed and grabs his dao swords that he found in the weapons shop the other day.

The others in the house will probably hear him stomping across the floor as he makes his way out. He's had enough of the droids and doesn't exactly want to meet them again. Especially at this unholy hour of the morning. He'll grab something to eat from the kitchen and go out the door once he's ready and head for the teleporters.]

[Aang is stirred awake by hearing the alarms and goes white-faced upon seeing the draft announcement. He does feel a wave of relief to see Ikki's name isn't listed. Katara, Sokka and Toph all seem to be safe as well, even if Katara still is being held by the Malnosso. But the other names he does recognize give him concern.

He quickly heads out from his room, wearing only a long pair of shorts, and he finds Zuko while he's still in the kitchen.]

[It's faster to ask than to waste time squinting. Itachi is already up and getting ready whether he's listed or not. Though he goes about it much more sedately. He'll be ready in time all the same. That's just how he is.]

[Yu was pretty sure he forgot what it was like to breathe for a moment.]

[There hadn't been anything like this since he had first arrived in this place, and he had blissfully managed to avoid the last draft. Other than a few annoying Shifts, things had been almost pleasant in Luceti, and for a moment he could almost forget that he was in a place that was actually dangerous.]

[That changed when he saw his name on the draft list.]

[He wanted to ignore it, to just try and test to see if the droids would actually come for him. After all, he had more important things to worry about than the Malnosso; Yukiko had been missing for the last few days, and no matter where he looked, he couldn't seem to find her. He didn't want to think she disappeared, not without telling him, but...]

[The alarm continuing made it hard for him to think, and he reluctantly grabbed what he thought might help him in a fight (namely, his glasses), and headed out. As much as he wanted to, tempted fate probably was not going to work in his favor right now.]

[Yu's face was his usual blank slate, an air of complete calm surrounding him. Only the attentive could tell this was a mask, however; that inside he was anything but calm and trying desperately to keep his mouth a straight line. And anyone looking close could see the white-knuckle grip he had on his glasses.]

[Loki is less than pleased to be startled awake at an unholy hour of the morning. He untangles himself from Rogue and they scramble out of bed. Loki shoos her off to see to her people with the promise that he'll wait for her at the teleporters.

Then it's an unholy, loud mess with Thor as they empty the house of food and fill water skins. Less than an hour of notice? The only other time it was like that was Vaskoth, and Loki is taking no chances. Every dagger he has comes with him, even all of the knives from the kitchen--you can never be too safe. Armor is properly put on, coffee is made, and then he and his brother head to the teleporters, coffee in one hand and bacon--honestly, Thor, bacon?--stuffed into sandwiches in the other.

He arrives at the teleporters with five minutes to spare and waits.]

[It was as though his nightmares had somehow jumped from his brain and into reality. Ion stared at the list and had to read over his own name three times before he realized it was really written there. After nearly a year of being free from the fear of being drafted, here it was happening again. And he only had 20 minutes. But there wasn't enough time in the world to prepare him for what was about to happen.]

[He could at least get dressed. That was something that didn't require much thought. After all, what else could he possibly bring to prepare himself with? He didn't have any weapons. He didn't own any armor. He had a staff for channeling fonic artes, but with his body, there's not a lot of good that could do. And yet he still prepares himself, leaving only 10 minutes before they would need to leave.]

[It's only then, watching as the others in the house busy themselves with preparing for battle, that it finally sinks in. And it takes nearly all the willpower he can muster to keep from fainting right there, his body shaking like a leaf. He doesn't want to go. But what choice does he have?]

[Nephry doesn't have a battle to prepare for. She watches the rest of them, helps where she can, gathers things from unused rooms that became storage spaces after enough time spent empty, but ultimately they are all going into battle (directly into combat) and there's nothing she can do to prevent it.

As their departure time nears, she catches sight of Ion, who is trembling so badly it's visible at a distance, and remembers his reaction to even talking about drafts. She puts down whatever is in her hands and goes to him, drawing him into a hug without saying anything.]

[The sound of his journal blaring is not what Rudy expects to hear this late at night, and he immediately bolts awake. Quickly scanning the list, he notices his name... and stops at Jane's. As well as Jack.

Damn it, not now. Jack's barely settled in, and he hasn't had a chance to tell him everything that was important to mention. Namely dropping the bad news. Not to mention he'd wanted to talk with Jane later as well.

There's no time. Rudy immediately gets dressed, and grabs everything. His ARM, knife, any cartridges he has left - anything and everything necessary. After that, he's out in the main hall, knocking on both Jane and Jack's doors. For anyone else living in the Wind Building, he'll be available to chat with, although there's very little time. He's focusing inwardly on his breathing, gripping the right sleeve of his jacket in an attempt to remain calm; although, his tense, stiff posture plainly gives him away.]

[Krillin is awakened by the alarms and leaps to his feet, barely listening to the announcement. Vegeta had mentioned this was a possibility, and it was a chance to get to use some of those new techniques he'd been working on. Twenty minutes was plenty of time for the diminutive Z-Fighter to gather his things. A pack with bottles of water, a pouch with the single senzu bean he'd arrived with, a sword he'd picked up, and the Saiyan armor he'd found mysteriously in the clothing shop was all he really felt he needed.

Still, something about this didn't really sit well with him. Maybe he was just being pessimistic, but he just had a bad feeling about all this. A really, really bad feeling. He doesn't bother with flying as he heads out the door, no point in wasting energy if they're going to be dropped into combat.

Krillin walks briskly to the teleporters, muttering to himself the whole time. Once he does arrive, he starts stretching, a series of exercises from the Orin Temple as well as from King Kai...and then he raises his power level a bit, a white sheen of energy forming all around him.

It's go time.]

[ Raine had been asleep, but an alarm going off when one has intermittent headaches isn't exactly the most pleasant way to be alerted, either. A draft, after how long? It made sense, but at the same time...

Frowning, she does her best to ignore the sound as she scrolls down through her list. So many names, this time. Friends, acquaintances, students. Some notably missing names, and her own, right there on the list.

Right. Time to get dressed and gear up. At least that was something she could do quickly under the circumstances. And being teleported directly into battle implied that there wouldn't be a convenient rest area, either. And of course, she checks to see if her housemate is awake before she goes anywhere if he doesn't check in with her first during her preparations. ]

[As Raine is leaving her room, she may in fact see Albert peeking his head out of the empty bedroom that had once served as Genis' room. He looks serious, if faintly confused, as he steps out into the hallway and heads over to retrieve his journal from his room.]

[The news came when he was at the Welcome Center, like he was so many nights. It'd been quiet lately and so he'd taken to painting rocks again. The sudden blaring announcement and the limited time had Souji shooting out of his chair immediately and running for the door.

His friends had been drafted - nearly everyone he knew well - and he wasn't about to let them go without him being prepared. As he ran to the house, he opened his journal and shot off a quick note to Cliff, Fayt and even Albel in case he was up.]

I'll meet you at the tunnels - look for white mountains on sky blue.

[White mountains on blue sky-- it was a distinct image, one that his mind easily grasped in the chaos. Wakefulness came quick with the sounding alarm, and Cliff was already dressed and snapping on his gauntlets with familiar ease when the message came.

He tossed the journal in with the rest of his gear instead of wasting time with a reply. They would find eachother, like always.

He found Fayt instead. Recollections of their last bout of unorganized combat together had the clarity of an icy wind in his mind.

His priorities were clear.]

[He asked, in a tone firm tone that was for once devoid of humor.]

[Well the alarm certainly surprises Karis, enough to where she jumped enough to get her face first on the floor.] Oh archmages... [It's just like home...

The time span isn't too painful though, she's had to get ready for combat a lot sooner than that. With everything gathered, she'll stomp out of her apartment, down the stairs and to the teleporters, looking rather annoyed from such a rude awakening, but she's wide awake.]

[On her way out Pilouette double checks her supplies, hastily digging through her messenger bag. She looks up just in time to see the woman in front of her and grabs on tightly to her bag's shoulder strap. She stops herself in time to avoid a full on crash, but can't avoid bumping Karis just a little bit.]

Oh, uh, s-sorry! Geez, they really didn't give us much time, did they...?

[Well. That sounded bad.

Although there are some familiar names on the draft, he's relieved at a couple of names that he doesn't hear. There's no time to mull it over, of course- it's action time. Twenty minutes. That's more than enough time to get ready, snatch a few pieces of food and maybe a bottle or two of water out of the kitchen, and head over to the teleporters. There's no point in being quiet about it, though- that was loud enough to wake up the whole house, including the drooling log he shares a room with.

So much for a whole year without a draft.]

[It's definitely enough to wake Gold up. You'd have to be dead to not hear it, honestly.

Once Silver turns around with his supplies, he'll find Gold wordlessly standing there, leaning against the nearby, gaze fixated on him.]

[Obi-Wan has been having a disgruntling month. The graying and beard growth was irritating. The tea unboiling was inconvenient. The lightsaber regression bordered on the limits of Obi-Wan's not-inconsiderable patience.

The announcement, hours before he normally woke, was just about all he needed.

He'd been here but two months, and already he was being reminded of events from his previous time here. Of Vaskoth. Of those horrific ghouls. Of Captain Rogers succumbing to the plague and overpowering him. Of the fateful decision to shoot a potentially harmless man for the good of the enclosure.

He did not like drafts. Not Obi-Wan.

Still, his lightsaber appeared to have returned to normal. Convenient. And his hair had stopped growing endlessly over a week prior. He would, at least, not be distracted.

He's going to waste little time gathering supplies, drawing his cloak around him, and informing Luke, Anakin, and Padme of his departure before heading to the teleporters. He'll at least try to put on a good front for the others. Better to build morale, at least.]

<sub>[ Kirk is not an early riser, despite time in the academy and it's pseudo-military training. He is even less happy to be up when he finally registers what is being said. He had only been through one, and it had not been fun. He did not wish to go again, but his name was on that damn list. And he knew that fighting it would only cause more problems. Besides, maybe this was a chance to learn something, something they couldn't trapped inside their bird cage.

He got out of bed and tugged on his black pants and boots and, for the sake of his own comfort and mental security, worked into his yellow Star Fleet shirt (which holes newly made to fit his wings). It wasn't as if it gave him any real authority, but it did make him feel more confident, and that was something. He secured his phaser into the holster on his belt and moved to have goodbyes with Spock. This would happen mere months after they... no, don't think on it. It just made it harder.

Prepared, he headed out and through the streets to the teleporters, figuring anyone else out this early was one of the lucky chosen few. ]</sub>

She's thankful Evan isn't on the list. He'd be a great partner on the field, but not now. Not so soon.

Glock, ammo, combat knife, boot knife, machete, body armor, Ginia runs through a mental checklist as she begins racing around her room to get everything together. She pauses briefly to comfort Laika, but with twenty minutes, there's not much for proper goodbyes.]

Evan takes a moment to breath deeply then he is out of his room and heading to Ginia's.

Once there he opens the door with no care for her modesty. Luckily she is dressed, not that he would have cared either way.]

She pauses, listening, and after realizing his heartbeat indicates he is still sleeping, she pushes the door open.She is already dressed in her 'combat' clothing, black leather pants and a matching shirt.]

[She doesn't shout it, but she can do a decent commanding voice when she has to.]

[Laden with what water-skins and weapons Loki had no room for on his person or with his magics as well as his own supplies, Thor arrives at the teleporter in full armor, Mjolnir humming on his belt. It had been a mad dash from the house to arrive; only what he had heard of Drafts past and his brother's unease any manner of hint for what is to pass. He waits, fingers drumming against the haft of his hammer, torn between dread and impatience.]

[Bulla's got no armour save for a pair of shiny gauntlets sized perfectly to fit her small hands. There's a crest in navy blue on the back of each hand. She's pacing back and forth. While she feels substantially more confident about a Draft than she would have if this happened last year, she's still nervous.

She decides to take some of the edge off of that by being sociable.]

[Rock Lee is on his feet and suited up almost immediately. A new draft, already? And with the names of people who are precious to him? He doesn't hesitate. He remembers the last time there was a draft and he missed out on it. He wasn't there for Rapunzel, and she had been hurt. He wouldn't make the same mistake this time.

He tosses himself out the window of the Flame Building and makes dashes across town straight towards the teleporters.]

I WILL BE THE FIRST TO ARRIVE!

[That is what he shouts out to the morning sky. And with his speed, he may at least be one of the first there, impatiently jogging in place as he waits for the time to come.]

[While Minato's not picked to go to the draft, he makes an appearance near the teleporters. After all, he's not going to allow his comrades go to the draft without talking to them first. Since he has placed a seal near the place, it doesn't take him twenty minutes to be there. There aren't any people yet so he decides to wait for any Konoha shinobi who will arrive first. (Sorry Lee, Minato's faster than you.)

When Lee does arrive, Minato inwardly praises his speed while nodding to acknowledge the approaching youth.]

[Mia wakes in seconds, heart already pounding. The last time there was an alarm like this, the last one she remembers with any real clarity, it ended in Vaskoth. Even now it feels like someone sending nails of ice into her chest; after a moment of panic and listening, she realizes she's fighting herself to breathe.

She gets up, gets dressed - in her uniform, of all things - and heads for the kitchen to pack her bag once she sees her name on the list. Directly into combat means trying to be prepared for everything. For anything. She does all she can to hide a growing sense of unease from her housemates...

...and anyone else she encounters on the way to the teleporter.]

[Karla, who's always a light sleeper, springs awake at the blaring of the alarm, gasping. she calms down, though, as she listens to the message and gets a bearing for what's going on. she's being called to battle in such short notice. Something serious must be going on.]

[The expression drains from her face as her primal hunger for battle sinks in. And yet she could feel that something bad is going to happen. But that's irrelevant. Her battle urge needs to be satisfied. She only needed one thing to bring. Karla takes her sword sheath from against the wall, fastening it to her waist. And then she leaves the building to head for the tunnels.]

[When the alert goes out over the journals, Pilouette awakes with a snort. She usually sleeps pretty heavily, but an alarm sounding right next to her ear is enough to snap her awake. Groggily she reads over the list of names and seeing her own is enough to wake her up. She drags herself out of bed, throwing on some clothes and begins hurriedly preparing, grabbing her first aid kit and stuffing her messenger bag with the extra first aid supplies she's accumulated, along with various snacks she has stowed around her apartment. If it was anything like the last draft...well, it might help to have something a little easier on the stomach.

The abruptness and nature of the message made the situation sound especially urgent and that's got Pilouette nervous. Sure, she's been on a draft before but they at least got a few days to prepare last time. The fact that they're being teleported directly into battle doesn't help and it's got her wondering exactly what's up. Putting on her false glasses to try and pretend she's not nervous, Pilouette heads out towards the teleporters.]

[Unfortunately for Pilouette, Grune is one person she's not fooling.]

Good morning, Pilouette. Are you feeling all right?

[Elizabeth has never been awoken in such a fashion, and it really does give her a start. She nearly screams the racket is so sudden, but the second she actually processes the message she's scrambling to the list and praying she doesn't recognize any of the names.]

[But the further she reads, the sicker she feels. All of them? All of them?]

[Twenty minutes-- to grab everything she could. Where did she even start, though? Her medkit-- that was the first thing, but God, was it properly stocked? She throws herself out of bed and digs it out of her closet. Now shoes, shoes, yes--]

[To the Teleporters]

[Dressed and armed, Elizabeth hurries through the dark trying not to bash into anyone. But her attention is divided between walking, running, and looking around at who else is in the crowd. It's so thick, she can barely make out faces in the hustle to the teleporters. Are Booker and Robert and Rosalind even still with her? She thinks they are, but her attention is so divided and she's feeling so panicked. In a few minutes she was going to be in the middle of combat, and she didn't want to be in the middle of combat without everyone she needed to be next to.]

Gai! Gai!! [She stops in the middle of the moving crowd to look around, afraid of how close to the teleporters she is, and how she can't see him.]

[Booker may or may not have a bug out bag stashed under his bed for exactly this sort of thing.

Not that he was anticipating (yes he was) a draft ever since he heard about them, but it was just the sort of thing that was useful for him. He'd used this kind of bag more than once in whatever event he happened to need one, so naturally - he was the first in the house ready to leave.

His shotgun and pistol were strapped to his person and he had more than a few vials of Salts stuffed in as well.

But he wasn't about to go running off into the blue without making sure Elizabeth was...well, okay. Her name was on that list too (so were the Luteces but he didn't really care about their emotional health) and he knew this wasn't the first time she'd done this but...

Well he wanted her to be as okay as she could be.]

Elizabeth?

[He raps his hand against the frame of the door to her bedroom as she runs around - not unlike a chicken with it's head off - trying to get the right things together.]

[This will hardly be the first time Yoruichi has been roused out of bed to fight, but it doesn't mean she cares for the experience. She likes to know what she's getting into, but with 20 minutes notice, she's not likely to get proper intel until she can gather it herself.]

[Getting dressed doesn't take long and she has no weapons to gather since she mainly fights barehanded these days...but she does need to see to Yachiru first. Yoruichi may not be terribly maternal, but she doesn't want a little kid to wake up alone with no warning. With any luck, Yachiru will find someone to tag along with until Yoruichi can get back.]

[She makes her way out of the building, quickly heading for the teleporters. Even with her centuries of experience, there are too many uncertainties for her to feel completely confident about what's coming up.]

[But if she can't prepare? She'll just have to take things as they come.]

[In contrast, Ginia is heavily armed with a machete sheathed on one hip, a handgun holstered on the other, a knife at her back, one hidden in her boot, and another tucked away in a pocket on her flak vest. She's calm enough to stay focused, nervous enough to stay on edge and ready. There were a lot of people called on that list, a good amount of them heavy hitters.

The situation can't be good, not with the sense of urgency, the time, the amount of people.

Ginia offers a small wave and a dry smile. Her cellphone is in her apartment, but she still has two small notepads and pens stored away.]

[As the first alarm sounded from the journal, a pillow was swiftly thrown on top of it, causing both items to fall to the floor. The additional voice and continued screech brought Remy out of his sleep, rubbing a hand over his face before becoming conscious enough to understand what exactly was happening, and where the hell that sound was coming from. Grabbing a duffle bag out from under his bed he quickly emptied the contents onto the bedding and began sorting out the items he needed. Most if quickly vanished inside the pockets of his coat as well as the storage on his body. No point in stocking his coat if he was only to lose it.]

[A quick look at the time to determine if he could make a dash to the item store, Remy dismissed the option. He would just have to improvise if he ran out of ammunition. Grabbing something quick to line his stomach, he headed out towards the teleporters, eating along the way. Lets see who else got suckered into this mess.]

[Rogue was there, alert and waiting by the X-Men. She saw Gambit enter and though the tension in her shoulders didn't ease, there was a certain set to her face as if she'd just made a mental check mark. After a murmured word to Mia, she shouldered her way over to Remy.]

[Erica instantly wakes up when she hears the alarm over the journal, her heart pounding in her chest. She quickly grabs her journal from the table beside her bed too see if she can stop the noise, only then taking in the message and seeing the list of people who needed to report in. Her eyes spot the names of some of her friends first before they focus on her own name, prompting her to quickly get up and get ready. Back home she could be ready for a mission with the assault squad in a couple of seconds, twenty minutes was nothing.

She's soon dressed in her red monastery clothes, her machine gun concealed in her leg holster and her back pockets filled with what ammo she has. There's a smile on her face as she quickly walks to the teleporters though it lacks the energy and enthusiasm Erica usually has. It's clear the smile is forced, but she's trying her hardest to put on a brave face all the same. She's still scared of her own powers, but if she's going into combat then she'll need them.

Her mind turns to Ogami and the other members of the assault squad once she's arrived at the teleporters. Perhaps if she had the chance to speak with Ogami again then he would know what to do about her powers. He was always so kind and supportive at times like these, she could really use that same support now.]
