[Voice/Locked to Luceti Inhabitants]

Greetings, once again!

It saddens me to say, but it seems we've had many new arrivals. I'm sure you've all noticed, by now. Most unfortunate. Why, I had almost all of your names memories. Yes, even that peculiar boy who- ah, I've lost it again. [Ahem.] And after all that trouble too! My, were it not for the Great One, we'd all be in a real pickle. I understand there were those of you courageous enough to free him from the very bowels of the planet itself. Ah, if only I could have been there with you! Alas. You have my sincerest and most heartfelt gratitude. Please, tell me your names and I shall arrange to have the finest of tea delivered to you posthaste!

But to business!

Firstly! Pets. Pets. My goodness, some of you have found some rather monstrous creatures, haven't you? Pokey-somethings, I believe. Most curious how they arrived! However, so many of you were so helpful, I feel as if I must do something to repay you in kind. Yes, pets, as I was saying. I shouldn't wonder if many of you had lovely furry beasts before being brought here. If it could be arranged, would they be wanted? Tell me! I'm quite curious to know.

Secondly! With all that upsetting business before, I never had a chance to thank those who fought those scoundrels on the battlefield. Your victory has been pivotal to our shared existence, you should know. But I wonder, are your training facilities adequate? Perhaps you need something with, aha, more bite to it, yes? Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I do believe that to be everything. Yes, I'm quite sure of that.

Unpredictable variables? [As a scientist, he understands about experimental constants. What he doesn't understand is exactly what kind of experiment you think you're running here - and why he has to be part of it.]

I expect you're going to tell me it's a closed system also - so a dimensional window would be out of the question.
i_speak_softly: (Very very cross.)

And yet things from people's worlds keep leaking in here. How does that happen?
i_speak_softly: (A big letdown)

[... That kind of throws him.] If people who arrive here draw in other people and things that are important to them... then why isn't my father here? And isn't it still a pretty big coincidence that all three of my brothers arrived at exactly the same time? [He won't mention the fact that he himself didn't arrive until several weeks after that. The possibility that he's somehow less important - either to the Malnosso, or to his family - isn't one he wants to discuss.]

Most random things aren't really random. [He thinks.] If engines and portals are beyond your abilities, what about a computer? It has to be a good one, though - powerful enough to compile code and run high-level simulations at a reasonable speed. And if you can manage that, then I also want some microprocessors and a connector so I can write to them from the CPU. And a box of electronic eyes. Are any of those things within the realm of possibility?
i_speak_softly: (This is my grim and serious look.)

Only sensors. Not cameras. ... It's for a friend. [That's all you need to know.]
