Malnosso Request Line

[This post is for making IC requests to either Bil/Catherine or Molly. Think of it as an Appointments Post. If you're unsure about a request, simply contact a mod beforehand. Bil is played by dammitmasa and can be contacted on AIM at Masamune3x or you can PM his journal; Molly is played by [Bad username or site: pathways title= @ livejournal.com] and can be contacted on AIM at spark memories, or you can PM her journal. Please be patient regarding responses. If your tag isn't answered after a few days, feel free to ping us.

A Playstation 3? I'm not sure I'm familiar with such a thing.

Aw, you know, video games. I'm not a PS snob or anything, they just hadn't come out yet in my time, so since there's people from the future I thought you could get me one, but I'd be happy with a Nintendo or something.

And maybe you could include Soul Caliber so we can all play sometimes. But definitely get Tony Hawk in there, and maybe a Sonic game if they still have those in the future. I think they stopped making Crash Bandicoot, but if it does backwards-compatibility, I'd love to play that again.

... too bad the controllers are for an Xbox, they're all Wii games, and the cords might have once been used for a VCR.]

[After his conversation with Kennedy, Giles has come to the conclusion that he can't keep trusting to luck or fate or whatever it is that brings items across the barrier and puts them in the shops. So, against his better judgment, he opens his journal that evening and writes a careful note filtered to the Malnosso.]

I've looked for weeks now. You can't say I haven't been patient. Would someone please put a guitar in the shop?

Oh ho, a guitar you say? I'm certain I can arrange that! But first I must ask... are you left handed?

I can function with one or the other.

But I'm used to a right handed guitar.

Ah, alas. I find left handed people so interesting...

But I can certainly provide you a guitar! Though I'm afraid I'm hardly much of a musician. I'd hate to fetch you the wrong thing.

[Computer books. It's been on his mind for awhile, but going about actually asking for such things had never been high in his priorities. But asking now, before anything else could possibly happen, seemed like a good idea.]

I wish to request books about computers -- if that is at all possible.

My! That's quite a request. As I understood it, your world is centuries away from such technology! Why the interest?

It seems it would be quite advantageous to have some understanding of such things. I could do to understand more of the mechanical and technological aspects that residents request for drafts. [Or he could better understand what he's doing with that laptop.]

I can certainly rescind my request, if you feel it is somehow hazardous.

Now now, I said nothing of the sort, my boy! I only wonder why you require books of these nature when you have no such device to test them on. [Calling your bluff? Perhaps. However...]

Wouldn't you prefer a laptop to go with them?

I had felt it a bit presumptuous to ask for one when I have yet to understand the technology itself. I am not sure what I would do with one, for that matter. They seem to have specific purposes.

Nonsense! Learn by doing, I always say. As soon as I'm able, I'll have a computer to match the books I'll send you.

That is certainly generous of you, Sir Bil. [...And he really doesn't know what he's going to do with this laptop.] I suppose I will have to find something to do with this computer. Would you have any recommendations?

Oh yes. I would recommend Solitaire. But do not be dismayed if you lose! Not every round can be won.

I've developed an interest in a certain hobby, you see. I don't have the patience to wait for something to appear in the stores, however. I thought you might be a little more reliable than our unusually-colored friend.

Photography. It might sound rather silly when there isn't much to see in this place, so I suppose I'm more interested in the cameras themselves. You could say I'm curious.

I may use it once in a while. We'll see. As for what kind... [Hmm. He only knew so much about these things, but it wasn't that important.] If I remember correctly, they're called single-lens reflexives. It should be the kind with the film that must be self-developed, rather than those "instant" ones. It doesn't matter how old or new it is, so long as I am capable of using it here. Make sense?

[ .... and now she is burning with curiosity. But that is improper, so she keeps it to herself. ]

[ Molly will keep true to her word. In anywhere from a few days to a week, the exact camera Caeser requested will turn up in the items shop. It seems to be only one owner from new. Should he keep searching, he will also turn up a roll of film of the type he requested, though that will take a few days further. ]

There's an item that I've used for alchemy before called a Lezard flask. I was wondering if I could get one, since I've never seen one show up in the stores.

A Lizard flask? What... why on earth would you need a flask of lizards? That's dreadful!

Not lizard. It's Lezard; it's the creator's name, much like there's an Erlenmeyer flask.

Oh, aha, yes, that does make a bit more sense. I'm afraid I don't know much about that sort of thing, but I shall have Molly on the task. If she hasn't managed it in a week, come to me and I shall have a talk with her.

I am s-safe at the moment... [Comparitively. Sorta. Okay, not really. He's just worried!]

B-But, if the village is... behaving like this, then surely wherever you are m-must also be affected...? [He's guessing, anyway. Unless they have a Shift up or something to help them?]

[ Oh, it's affected. Well ... sort of. But the affect is only impacting, well, everyone but her and Bil. ] Robert, there's a-a-a-an em-m-m-m-- [ QUICKLY GETTING FRUSTRATED. ] We are fine! S-S-Stop c-concerning y-y-y-yourself with m-m-m-me!
