Approximately three hours ago, the experimental enclosure known as Kin’cora, located in Region Six, was attacked by a cultist army led by the entity known as The General. His forces breached the barrier and began their invasion. Malnosso Security Forces responded in turn and decimated his forces. Just under half of the enclosure's population was killed or taken for sacrifice before the situation was resolved.

By order of the Commandant, the enclosure designated as Luceti has been approved as a temporary refuge for displaced subjects of the Kin’cora experiment. In approximately six hours, subjects will begin to arrive. They will remain there until such a time as they can be moved to more permanent accommodations. Note, the Kin’cora journal system will be deactivated while within the Luceti enclosure.

Cultist activity continues to be high in Region Six. Expect additional supplies to be limited until situation is resolved. Emergency rations will be routed to the enclosure as they become available. Subjects are urged to use current provisions wisely and to cooperate with displaced refugees. For safety purposes the Shift limiting superhuman abilities will be reduced to ten percent. No further details will be made available at this time.

Y-.. yeah, I think so too. [ she's a little unsure in her voice, but it's more just because she's a little nervous. ]

We should help them out if they've had a bad time.. it's the right thing to do, right?

Right. Helping out people in need is the right thing to do. [Even if here in this world, there seems to always be some kind of catch.]

Then I'll try my best! .. Um.. even if I'm not entirely sure yet what exactly it is we can do for them..

Yeah, compared to them, we must be pretty lucky. I hope they won't be jealous of that or anything..

As long as we're nice to them, I'm sure that won't be a problem.

W-well, I'll be nice to them for sure! I don't get why we'd be mean to them, either way, since.. they're just like us.

So if both of us try our best, then they're bound to feel at least a little welcome.. I think.

[Katara's not even thinking about the power cap right now. Because she can't afford to. Because it terrifies her. But she's been preparing for this day for years.]

[He steps out of his room and begins looking around for her.]

I'm on the way to the school. By the last bridge.

[So... once he gets back to his room, and checks his journal, he'll know where to find her.]

[A few minutes later.]

Oh. Be there in a few, then.

[He runs outside and pops up an air scooter, grateful that the power's still at normal for here. But for how long? He zips over to Katara's location as soon as possible.]

Hi Katara. [Under different circumstances, he would have included a joke about how presumably early it is.] What's up?

[It is UNGODLY early, and she hates it. But she's been dealing with that for most of her life, so.]

Two things actually. I could use your help making a pit for offal by the school, and maybe another pit or two I can fill with ice while the Shift's up. That shouldn't take too long, right?

Of course not! [He grins and rubs his hands together.] Two pit-bendings to go! [But then he pauses and raises an eyebrow.] What's an offal?

The parts of meat you can't eat.

[Yes, there are some parts of meat even people from the Water Tribes won't eat.

And arriving at the school, she looked around.]

I think we'll need three.

Oh. [A slight discomfort at the thought, but he quickly shifts his focus on the task at hand.]

Sure thing, Katara.

[He finds a nice patch of ground and begins to bend the earth into forming the first pit.]

[Glancing around, she points to a shaded area.]

Next one there, I think.

Gotcha! [Once he's finished the first pit, he moves over there to begin the next one. And he talks as he bends.]
