Approximately three hours ago, the experimental enclosure known as Kin’cora, located in Region Six, was attacked by a cultist army led by the entity known as The General. His forces breached the barrier and began their invasion. Malnosso Security Forces responded in turn and decimated his forces. Just under half of the enclosure's population was killed or taken for sacrifice before the situation was resolved.

By order of the Commandant, the enclosure designated as Luceti has been approved as a temporary refuge for displaced subjects of the Kin’cora experiment. In approximately six hours, subjects will begin to arrive. They will remain there until such a time as they can be moved to more permanent accommodations. Note, the Kin’cora journal system will be deactivated while within the Luceti enclosure.

Cultist activity continues to be high in Region Six. Expect additional supplies to be limited until situation is resolved. Emergency rations will be routed to the enclosure as they become available. Subjects are urged to use current provisions wisely and to cooperate with displaced refugees. For safety purposes the Shift limiting superhuman abilities will be reduced to ten percent. No further details will be made available at this time.

[The quick suggesters tend to be amongst the most active thinkers, and they would be needed in the next few hours. Albert is quick to pin potential volunteers as they speak up.]

Of course. Any amount of assistance would be appreciated while we assess how many people will need to be accommodated. [They were just thinking about rations and preserving food stores at the moment. Would they need to resort to a refugee camp if there was not enough room within the village?]

[A hesitation, then a sigh as he works up a quick, rather sloppy filter.]

How much did your military training cover disaster relief and aid?

[He sees the sloppy filter and takes a few moments to work on it; it's a sign of how long he's been in the village and using filters that it doesn't take long at all for him to make an unhackable one.]

Quite frankly, I am trained as a war tactician and strategist, so my training in disaster relief and aid is not what it could be.

[He's known Albert is around, but somehow hearing the first half of his sentence is a relief. Someone around here knows what they're doing on that front, at least.]

It was part of mine. [Not his military training, but...] You need security protecting every food source--people who are good at what they do, but not brutal enough to hurt a civilian over a slice of bread. You'll also need people passing out tarps and bedrolls in case there's not enough shelter. Once we have an idea of how many people are going to be in the village, residents and refugees alike should have a set amount of staple food rationed to them at set times in a set place. This is going to be a very likely place and time for fights to break out, so you'll have to be careful. Inevitably, people are going to look at any stockpile of food and wonder why they're still hungry.

[While he had heard a few of the points mentioned and taken into consideration others, he is somewhat intrigued to hear all of this coming at once under a filter. He listens patiently before speaking.]

You seem quite learned in the subjects, yet you seem hesitant to do more with your knowledge. [The fact that he had decided to make a filter speaks to that.]

An exaggeration. Especially if one considers how things have gone here in this world. [There was no way that draft in the cultists' jungle could be considered a victory.]

May I ask where you heard that?

Voices in the woods during the last experiment. Not all of it was idle gossip.

So I have heard. Some of them seemed more believable than others, certainly.

I am not so impenetrable, though. Just the longest lasting of those in Luceti.

The best strategists are still men. Frankly, I assumed that if you hadn't lost a battle yet, you must be very young.

Indeed. I would be hard-pressed to find a strategist of significant experience who has a perfect record.

This would not be the best time to muse on such things, though. [Only six hours to properly organize, after all.] You will still lend your aid?

[That was a title he had not heard in quite awhile. He resists the urge to snort aloud in amusement; now is not the time for something like that.]

I would prefer to go by my name; rank means little here.

I've heard people say that. I've always wondered what makes years of training and experience mean nothing simply because you've switched locations.

Some would rather be judged by their actions than by a title that may mean nothing to others. The same goes for those with royal titles.

I would say the title is a pretty good indicator of the actions someone took to achieve it. Inherited titles are one thing, but military titles at least require effort. Or nepotism.

[He's faintly amused by the mention of nepotism.] Who is to say that those who give their titles are the former and not the latter?

I'd rather give someone the benefit of the doubt than assume the latter and insult a man who has taken more real risk than I ever will.

Some are not so willing to believe those who they have not seen vetted. You can imagine the discord that creates when the need for organization arises. [As if this was not chaotic enough.]
