Approximately three hours ago, the experimental enclosure known as Kin’cora, located in Region Six, was attacked by a cultist army led by the entity known as The General. His forces breached the barrier and began their invasion. Malnosso Security Forces responded in turn and decimated his forces. Just under half of the enclosure's population was killed or taken for sacrifice before the situation was resolved.

By order of the Commandant, the enclosure designated as Luceti has been approved as a temporary refuge for displaced subjects of the Kin’cora experiment. In approximately six hours, subjects will begin to arrive. They will remain there until such a time as they can be moved to more permanent accommodations. Note, the Kin’cora journal system will be deactivated while within the Luceti enclosure.

Cultist activity continues to be high in Region Six. Expect additional supplies to be limited until situation is resolved. Emergency rations will be routed to the enclosure as they become available. Subjects are urged to use current provisions wisely and to cooperate with displaced refugees. For safety purposes the Shift limiting superhuman abilities will be reduced to ten percent. No further details will be made available at this time.

That's the part I don't like. And as much as I hate ta even think it, but if our enclosure gets attacked right now, then at least we can use those guys as scapegoats to spare our own.

Scapegoats? If we get attacked, we give them weapons to fight with. There ain't gonna be any sacrifices to save our own.

What makes ya so certain these guys can fight? They couldn't save their own people, why would they help us?

It's their lives on the line. If they can pick up a sword, they can fight to survive as much as any of us.

That power cap is gonna affect them too though, isn't it?

People fight without powers all the time. We'll manage.

True enough. But numbers aren't gonna make up fer loss, it's just going to cause concern fer more casualties.

That's war. People die. We ain't got anywhere we can run to. We make a last stand here or they wipe us out. Offering up a scapegoat just makes us easier pickings for them. [He sure as hell doesn't trust the cultists to many any kind of dear.]

Tunnels are a double edged sword. They'd be safe there fer as long as the third party didn't know about, but if they did find out then it would be a literal death trap.

Especially if they find the other end. [And they can fly. Hard to outrun them on foot like that.] That makes the mountains our best bet.
