[Voice, Locked to Residents]
[At approximately 4AM in the morning of the 25th, the journals will suddenly blare with the sound of an alarm, followed quickly by this message:]
Attention, Region Six. This is an emergency. The following occupants are required to report to the teleporters in one hour to act as a reserve force for an unscheduled battle located in Region Eleven, designation Vaskoth.
[A list of names is posted.]
Those who refuse will be forcibly dragged, and we take no responsibility for any injuries obtained should that happen. Anyone not summoned will not be accepted, either as additional forces or as replacements for someone else. Weaponry and equipment not native to this world is incompatible with the nature of your location, and will therefore not be permitted. Suitable replacements may be available to you at your destination. You will rendezvous with Specialist Davis upon arrival, and he will direct you from there.
I repeat, you have one hour. Don't waste your preparation time with pointless questions. Get moving.
[ooc: as stated, the commandant won't answer willy-nilly, so this post can be used for draft prep if you want! Also the full draft details a HERE, for anyone who missed it!]

[Voice]
[Bag slung on her shoulder, journal tucked into the crook of one arm, and she's off.]
[Voice]
I'll see you there.
[Bag slung over her shoulder, weapon fastened to her belt, she heads out to the teleporter herself.]
[Action]
She's pale and tense while waiting. Too many variables running through her mind.]
[Action]
[As she draws closer to where Adele's waiting, she gives the doctor a simple nod of her head in greeting.]
Have I kept you waiting long?
[Action]
[She managed a tight smile for Syre.]
You said you've experience as a field medic?
[Action]
Before being brought here, my homeland was in the midst of fighting a terrible, bloody war. I have roughly five years of experience out on the battlefield itself, and fifteen years of classical study, including a thorough knowledge of anatomy and bodily processes.
[Action]
[Black, bitter humor, but it was all she could afford.]
[Action]
More or less, yes. [With a faint attempt at humor herself:] It helps when an enemy unit is about to run down a fellow soldier. I find that a well-placed blade to the neck does wonders.
[Action]
[Action]
[Syre glances about the area, looking pensive before she speaks again.]
This unsettles me. Normally our captors have their affairs in order.
[Action]
[Sent into an enclosure. Another barrier that has failed. How long until it happens to theirs once more?]
[Action]
['...something happened here, again?']
[The words are implied, but not said. A brief but heavy silence lingers, broken only by the sound of Syre clearing her throat.]
Well. Dwelling on the 'what if's will only distract us.
[Action]
[It wasn't likely- but then neither was the barrier failing. It has happened once before, then Kin'corra, now this.]
Focus on what you can change. The rest is dust until we return.
