[At approximately 4AM in the morning of the 25th, the journals will suddenly blare with the sound of an alarm, followed quickly by this message:]

Attention, Region Six. This is an emergency. The following occupants are required to report to the teleporters in one hour to act as a reserve force for an unscheduled battle located in Region Eleven, designation Vaskoth.

Those who refuse will be forcibly dragged, and we take no responsibility for any injuries obtained should that happen. Anyone not summoned will not be accepted, either as additional forces or as replacements for someone else. Weaponry and equipment not native to this world is incompatible with the nature of your location, and will therefore not be permitted. Suitable replacements may be available to you at your destination. You will rendezvous with Specialist Davis upon arrival, and he will direct you from there.

I repeat, you have one hour. Don't waste your preparation time with pointless questions. Get moving.

[Luke's just leaving his room as Obi-Wan finishes broadcasting. Dressed in dark robes, he pulls back his hood and nods to the older Jedi.]

Ready?

"I believe so."

[He frowns.]

"Inconvenient about the lightsabers, but I suspect we can adapt."

It is inconvenient, but I suspect that they'll provide us with blasters or something similar. Not as elegant a solution, but we've still got the Force and our training. Even a sword would be alright.

"I do hope so. Also, I'm uncertain how long the engagement will last, so it might be a good idea to prepare supplies."

Already on it. I've gathered some rations, and a few village-made weapons as well.

[He hefts a rucksack]

Mostly foodbars, and some flatbread and the last of those fritters I made Monday.

"Ah, excellent thought. In the future, perhaps it would be wise to keep such emergency rations prepared in advance."

[He pauses, then quirks a slight grin.]

"Did you pack tea?"

That was what the sack was for, I've had it prepared since Kin'Cora.

[Luke nods]

Mostly Oolong, but I think I have some Earl Grey as well.

"Luke Skywalker, you are a life saver."

[He chuckles, but then his face becomes more serious.]

"I do wish that we knew more about what awaits us, though. For some reason I fear we may be in for a difficult mission. I can't say if it's a genuine Sense or simply anxiety."

I'm of the same mind, Obi-Wan.

[Luke's tone is quite grave]

Something about this just doesn't sit right with me.

"Not simply my own anxiety, then. Very well, we shall need to be careful."

[He manages another smile, more easily than the last.]

"The Force shall be with us."

It will. Lets get a move on.
