[At approximately 4AM in the morning of the 25th, the journals will suddenly blare with the sound of an alarm, followed quickly by this message:]

Attention, Region Six. This is an emergency. The following occupants are required to report to the teleporters in one hour to act as a reserve force for an unscheduled battle located in Region Eleven, designation Vaskoth.

[A list of names is posted.]

Those who refuse will be forcibly dragged, and we take no responsibility for any injuries obtained should that happen. Anyone not summoned will not be accepted, either as additional forces or as replacements for someone else. Weaponry and equipment not native to this world is incompatible with the nature of your location, and will therefore not be permitted. Suitable replacements may be available to you at your destination. You will rendezvous with Specialist Davis upon arrival, and he will direct you from there.

I repeat, you have one hour. Don't waste your preparation time with pointless questions. Get moving.

As we are being sent to another enclosure I assume we'll have some manner of facilities designed for it, which will make it simpler. If not...we'll arrange for something.

We can find a space to set up the supplies we have, certainly. [She has a quick thought of a rather rudimentary field tent, but hopefully it won't be quite that bad.]

More should be provided, if what they've said is worth anything. Though I must insist you bring what you can on your own. I know I intend to.

I will. I don't depend on the Malnosso's supplies. [A grudge against them forever, she has it.]

Perhaps there will be some manner of stock left from this enclosure's clinic. Even in a combat situation there should be something available for our use.

Don't worry. [It was sometimes still strange to be the one saying that... but Ami went on.] If there isn't, we'll improvise.

And we've experience enough in improvisation by this point.

[She huffs a soft laugh. Fix what they can, work with what they have. They'll manage.]

We'll do our best for everyone. That's all we can do. We can't let ourselves worry over more than that yet. [Granted, she'll be the first to forget this and worry as they try to hold things together under fire.]

Most called are capable enough fighters or know well enough to avoid combat.

[She knows there are no guarantees in battle. She knows she's seen friends injured, and even seen their bodies broken next to hers.

But she nods anyway.]

[Odd to switch the subject but it would ease her mind to think of something to be done after all of this.]

I hope no one is hurt at all. [This goes without saying, really. And she knows that 'no casualties' is... not likely in the least. But it's a goal, and she'll work to get as close to it as possible.]

I intend to minimalize casualties. It is the only realistic expectation I might allow myself.

[They have no way of preparing for every avenue. It's best not to hope.]

I understand that. But I still want to aim for the best. I want to be sure I'm doing everything I can.
