[Voice, Locked to Residents]

[At approximately 4AM in the morning of the 25th, the journals will suddenly blare with the sound of an alarm, followed quickly by this message:]

Attention, Region Six. This is an emergency. The following occupants are required to report to the teleporters in one hour to act as a reserve force for an unscheduled battle located in Region Eleven, designation Vaskoth.

[A list of names is posted.]

Those who refuse will be forcibly dragged, and we take no responsibility for any injuries obtained should that happen. Anyone not summoned will not be accepted, either as additional forces or as replacements for someone else. Weaponry and equipment not native to this world is incompatible with the nature of your location, and will therefore not be permitted. Suitable replacements may be available to you at your destination. You will rendezvous with Specialist Davis upon arrival, and he will direct you from there.

I repeat, you have one hour. Don't waste your preparation time with pointless questions. Get moving.

[ooc: as stated, the commandant won't answer willy-nilly, so this post can be used for draft prep if you want! Also the full draft details a HERE, for anyone who missed it!]

Honestly, just Raine is fine. [She's not exactly comfortable with the formalities, but this was hardly the time for that sort of discussion anyway.] I'll be there shortly; we can talk more then.

I'll see you there.

[After a ritual. And food. And assurances she'll return safe. And packing. A good deal of packing.]

[As promised, Raine will be available to talk to at the teleporters, fully dressed and ready - just missing her staff - mostly trying to keep a general idea of who shows up, and making some notes of her own.]
fleurdesel: left, sad, smile, serious (I just don't know)

[She's spoken to the bulk of those that are going that she knows, a handful she hasn't. All told it seems they have a wide variety of skills and talents, and that is most likely for the better. When she sees Raine she offers a tight smile and a wave.]

Raine.

Good morning, such as it is. It seems like we have a good number of people with varied skills present.

Those with experience in the field and in combat would be best suited to helping on the front lines. There is terribly little I might do if my patients arrive mostly dead. We have healers, physicians, scientists...I would consider it fortunate were it not so unsettling.

Of course. We don't know what we'll be stepping into with such little notice, but organizing ourselves shouldn't take too long. The frontlines are likely to be incredibly varied. We'll have to keep communication as open as possible.
fleurdesel: left, smile, smirk, confused, sarcastic (The punchline is...?)

There may be handheld radios available as they've had on missions before, other than that and our own journals I do not know what it is they will allow, or what we might find.

I hope we'll have enough time to make decent supply kits, but I have a feeling the initial rush will be chaotic at best.
