Attention Luceti Residents.

The following names are being called to participate in a strike against the cultist hordes:
[the names listed here appear on the journal.]

All subjects are required to arrive at the tunnels at 8AM on the 27th of March for deployment. All listed individuals are required to be present. Subjects will then be escorted to TERRACE for battle preparation and further details.

Target will be Region One, a former Malnosso stronghold, presently in cultist hands. Subjects are advised to prepare for combat in forested areas. Further information will be made available at TERRACE. Questions and answers will not be provided at this time.

[The Malnosso will not reply to this message, but everyone is free to use this post to discuss among themselves, whether using voice options on the journal or doing action threads.]

Yeah, actually, that's exactly what we can do.

We might be able to keep an eye on him better out there, but you know as well as I do what he's gonna see. What he's gonna have to do if things go sideways. Handling a weapon doesn't mean you're ready to fire it at another living thing.

He's just a kid, Steve. You know what that'll do to him? He stays out of it.

Keep the children back - I'll run intel once we hit the ground.

Handling a weapon doesn't mean you need to shoot to kill either. I know exactly what he's going to see. The same exact thing he'd see if he were out on a Draft without any of us to watch his back. At least way we can try to make it as easy for him as possible.

I don't like this anymore than you do but you can't stop him from doing what he decides is best for himself.

No. But between the possibility of that and the Cultists, everyone should make sure they can stay mobile. That's going to be key whether you're a combatant or not. Come prepared, but don't over-weigh yourselves.

Natasha says the healers usually set up somewhere. Might be a good idea to get a hold of them before we ship out.

He's a student of mine. I did point out a few suggestions to him - once a base camp is set up, depending on how the conditions are when we arrive, he will be able to assist people there, and it definitely will be needed. I am concerned... because he seems to have it in his head that he needs to fight to protect his friends.

Was there anything else mentioned like that?

I don't know what to expect out there anymore.

No, but you have to accept that there's a chance it'll happen every time you pull the trigger - especially when you've been handling a weapon for, what, weeks maybe? And that's if he can do it at all when the target's not some circles in straw.

Mr. Law, this is Agent Peggy Carter with the SSR. I realise this is too early to be certain, but when we arrive on the field, I have children who need to be kept with the med team to ensure their protection. If possible, I would like to coordinate with you in relaying them to your protection.

[And he's being blase about it because if he thinks too hard, there's a good chance he'll just try to find somewhere to hide and never come out.

He gives her a sharp look and then swallows, giving a small nod.]
