[Appearing on the journals is a written message as follows. A voice option is provided for a computerized reading of the text.]

Attention Luceti Residents.

The following names are being called to participate in a strike against the cultist hordes:
[the names listed here appear on the journal.]

All subjects are required to arrive at the tunnels at 8AM on the 27th of March for deployment. All listed individuals are required to be present. Subjects will then be escorted to TERRACE for battle preparation and further details.

Target will be Region One, a former Malnosso stronghold, presently in cultist hands. Subjects are advised to prepare for combat in forested areas. Further information will be made available at TERRACE. Questions and answers will not be provided at this time.

[The Malnosso will not reply to this message, but everyone is free to use this post to discuss among themselves, whether using voice options on the journal or doing action threads.]

[To say that he was feeling a little sick was an understatement. He knows this voice. It's that girl he found in the battledome a weeks prior to all of this draft stuff. Hearing her sound pretty calm about this all; it's enough to make him just shove that feeling way down .]

Guess not. You know how to defend yourself, right?

[He's quick to ask, if only to be sure if he needs to go protecting more people unlucky enough to get pulled into this. But, what does he know? This is his first show too.]

[Artemis recognizes that voice from the boy in the Battle Dome and she pauses to reply.]

I do well enough. What about you? Did you get drafted too?

Yuuuup. Guess they decided to introduce me to the land of fighting and crazy people.

I can handle myself though. Used to handling people like that back home...'cept...y'know...on a warzone.

[He tries to make somewhat light of this but it's all just nerves right now.]

You've never done this before, have you? [There's no sarcasm in her tone at that question, just a faint, understanding sympathy. She's never been in a warzone before either but... well, she's hoping her training gives her at least an edge that a lot of others might not have had.]

Going on a draft? Nope. This would be the first. [Cross is quick to try like it's not a big deal for him. He couldn't get scared right. Especially with a new person. He tries to make his voice sound light about it all. Maybe even a little passive. ]

I'll be fine. Don't worry about me.

Who's worried? [Besides, him, because she wasn't fooled for a minute. Still, her voice was still friendly, teasing.] Hey, if you need someone to watch your back for you, let me know. I figure I owe you a bit anyway after all the help you gave me.

Not me, that's for sure. [Letting out a pretty forced laugh, Cross stops immediately at the offer. Teaming up...yeah, he definitely wants that. There's just one thing that needs solving. His words come out with light enthusiasm at the very least. ]

If you can fight too, I'm all for it. Gonna need your name first if we're gonna be partners and all however. [Cross is quick to give his however.] Mine's Cross.

I can fight. I'm Artemis. I guess in all the confusion we missed that part last time.

Suppose that's true.

Want to get some practice before the draft in together? Might be good to see how we fight.

I'm an archer. I really don't think you want me practicing on you.
