[Voice, locked to residents] --EMERGENCY--EMERGENCY--EMERGENCY--EMERGENCY--
[At 2:15AM, the journals suddenly blare out an alarm, followed by this message.]
EMERGENCY. EMERGENCY. This is an emergency.
The following occupants of the Luceti enclosure must report to the teleporters in twenty minutes. You are required as reinforcements in Region 13. Bring all necessary armaments with you. You will be teleported directly into combat.
Anyone who fails to comply will be forcibly escorted to the teleporters by droids.
This is not a drill. I repeat: this is not a drill. You have twenty minutes.
[The message repeats twice more, the alarm continuing until the twenty minutes has elapsed. No questions will be answered.]

Teleporters
[ Joking. Making light. Hiding behind false smiles, his eyes not reflecting his attempt at mirth. He was serious, inside, but for the moment he needed his shields, his own reassurances because honestly they had no idea what would face them on the other side.
He really hated going in blind. ]
Re: Teleporters
[He looks Kirk over. Weapons? Supplies?] I trust this not at all. They have never before put us on such short notice.
Re: Teleporters
[ What he could find on short notice. His phaser, basic supplies for survival - he guessed. For all he knew they could end up in the frozen wastelands or something. Other than that, no weapon. He wasn't exactly a sword master. ]
I know. That's kind of the worrying part. They've never struck me as the type to improvise in our favor.
Re: Teleporters
Re: Teleporters
I can always count on you for that ray of sunshine.
[ But he knew what Loki said was true, and expecting anything else was basically signing your own death warrant. ]
Re: Teleporters
Re: Teleporters
[ He nodded, understanding, and glanced at the machines and licked his lips. Muscles twitched, anxiety touching him again as he contemplated what could be on the other side. ]
Here's hoping they want us for more than cannon fodder.
Re: Teleporters
[He smiles sharply.] There war is not mine. My interest is first survival. I suggest you have the same approach.
Re: Teleporters
[ He looked at him, and he wanted to say he would agree, but he wasn't sure. He didn't know what was on the other side. Right now he did think of it as survival. He did think of it as needing to make it through as many days as he had to and then come home.
But if people needed help on the other side, he was going to give it. ]
Well, like you said, we don't know what's on the other side yet.
Re: Teleporters
[He glances toward the end of the hall. Sounds like they're about to move out.]
First. Always. Try not to do anything silly.
Re: Teleporters
Ah, now, that might be asking to much of me, Loki. Have my back?
[ He looked at him as he adjusted his things, ready to move out. ]
Re: Teleporters
Fear not. I shall keep an eye on it. I'd hate to see your pretty skin scratched.
Re: Teleporters
[ He snorted and shook his head. ]
You and probably one other, so I'll take it.
Re: Teleporters
Re: Teleporters
It's the perfect time, isn't it? I guess I'm still wishing I was tucked back in bed. The wake-up call wasn't exactly song-birds.
Re: Teleporters
Re: Teleporters
Let me get it all out now so I don't do that wherever we end up. I'll make it up to you later.
