[Voice, locked to residents] --EMERGENCY--EMERGENCY--EMERGENCY--EMERGENCY--
[At 2:15AM, the journals suddenly blare out an alarm, followed by this message.]
EMERGENCY. EMERGENCY. This is an emergency.
The following occupants of the Luceti enclosure must report to the teleporters in twenty minutes. You are required as reinforcements in Region 13. Bring all necessary armaments with you. You will be teleported directly into combat.
Anyone who fails to comply will be forcibly escorted to the teleporters by droids.
This is not a drill. I repeat: this is not a drill. You have twenty minutes.
[The message repeats twice more, the alarm continuing until the twenty minutes has elapsed. No questions will be answered.]

Re: The Teleporters
[ He looked over to Remy and raised his hand in a two-fingered salute, leaning back against one of the walls, just waiting, because pacing was just ramping him up now. ]
I know, it's a small little bird cage, isn't it? Didn't happen to bring that drink you promised me last time we talked, did you?

[Reaching into his coat he produced a flask, giving it a shake to prove it was in fact full from the sound of liquid sloshing around in it.]
no subject
[ He couldn't help but let out a laugh, shaking his head, but smiling at the mutant. ]
You have my sincerest apologies. Of course I should never have doubted you. I, sadly, did not come quite so prepared.
no subject
Rest of ya team not dragged 'long on this fun ride we bein' thrown into?
no subject
Nope, seems not. Spock and B'Elenna got left behind.
[ Which he was secretly glad for, because he had no idea how he would be able to protect them on that field in a foot battle. He was good with ships, not face-front combat. ]
What about you? Any of yours around here?
no subject
neither did he, that this wasn't some school yard turf war they were use to.]More the merrier, hein?
no subject
Yeah, safety in numbers and all that. Though it looks like we have quite a few of us here with super powers of some kind, you know?
[ He had a super soldier's cells inside of him now, but he was no Krillian or Vegeta or Loki. He could take a fair sized punch now though, which was some relief, he supposed. ]
Have to hope that works in our favor.

[The 'us' part of Kirk's wording caught in Remy's brain, enough that he couldn't let it pass.] Ya be from a world where ya got powers?
no subject
Hmm? Oh, no, not really. I mean, Spock has semi-psychic abilities, all Vulcans do. But he can't move things around or anything. And I guess I don't see that as a power, it's just part of their biology. I've been with people that have horns or have tails or green skin. It's not weird, it's just that race.
[ He shrugged. ]
If we're talking powers like Vegeta or Loki though, no, no one has anything like that - that we know of, anyways. It's a big old universe and all.
no subject
Oui, this place be a wake up call to all that, if not more towards 'universes' than a singular one.
no subject
I totally believe it's entirely possible there are other Earth's in this universe, or if not we're all from different time-streams, I guess. Honestly it's just a headache and there's no use in doubting what's right in front of you in the flesh, right?
no subject
Ignorance be bliss in a lot of cases 'nd makes it easier to just roll with what's to come. [Remy offered a chuckle before turning to a more serious line of questioning.]
Ya been in one of these drafts 'fore?
no subject
Once.... I wish I could say it was pleasant, but it's not. It's war, and we're the foot soldiers. Last time we could snag air ships, which is where I more or less excel. Can't say what will be on the other side of this one though.

'lways nice to be the pawn pieces in a game. [This was said with a heavy dose of sarcasm.]
no subject
I dunno. I prefer to be the "Queen". Most important piece on the board, you know? It's almost an insult, being demoted to a pawn.
no subject
Goin' to have to argue ya on that, King be the most important as once it falls it be game over. Queen just be the most dangerous, as with most femmes.
no subject
And see? Isn't that the most fun?
[ He grinned. ]
no subject
'long as ya don't say it to the fille's face, then that can get lethal.
no subject
Haha, yeah, you learn that pretty fast. Not really an issue for me anymore, at least here, but you know...
[ he shrugged. ]
no subject
[He chuckled.] Not the most conventional discussion to be havin' 'fore goin' into battle, hein?
no subject
Probably not, but you have to talk about something right?
[ He shrugged. They didn't know what was on the other side, and speculating would only make things worse. ]
You got a femme here?
no subject
Limit myself to one? That's like choosin' only one drink to have. Rather sample the full selection.
no subject
Heh, yeah, that's one way to look at it. Alot of the ladies here though, can kick your ass. Sure you're okay with one of them busting you through a wall if you tick them off?
no subject
[He paused to think for a moment, stroking a finger down his goatee as he did.] 'ctually, it wouldn't be the first time. Not by 'ny of the femmes here, though Rogue did throw me into a metal wall back home...
no subject
Rogue? Really? Huh, she's stronger than she looks. I'll be sure to keep that in mind.
