[Voice]

[This voice may sound very, very familiar to some residents.]

Oh goodness!

My my, so! I imagine all of you are wondering what's going on here! I know, we don't contact you very much, but gracious me this should change! Yes. Yes, the best working relationships rely on communication and such and lovely things like that. So I shall be communicating with you, and some day we'll have some semblance of a professional acquaintance.

Possibly.

Oh, but of course the Great One has spoken to you concerning our offer! I heard that he would from the previous management, yes, and the Great One is nothing if not thorough! Naturally, I imagine he informed you of the circumstances of the agreement, but for those of you unfortunate enough to miss an audience with him, I shall summarize!

You will be contracted to fight in various skirmishes to which we will transport you in exchange for more modern accommodations within your enclosure (electricity/energy, appliances, central lighting and heat) and perhaps an end to the experimentation, if all goes well. Naturally, when you are out we will provide you with world-class accommodations! Anything your heart could desire for your quarters- well, within reason. We're not miracle workers after all! [Have a joyful laugh!]

Likewise, if you require special tools or vehicles for battle, we will do our best to provide those as well. You need only ask!

So, I ask of you, are you interested? It would be wonderful if we could put an end to all this!

Very well. Can you give an estimate as to when they'll start sending people to battle? There are a few things I'd like to take care of beforehand.

Does the Organization know that we're volunteering to fight?

A week or so. Perfect.

[But his expression quickly changes with the second line.]

You're...what?

[Voice]

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-03-03 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Still...this face. Especially after that response.]

What's...so great about it?

And how did you get to be the leader of the Organization?

[Since you botched the portal and seemed so shocked about it, he thinks you're an idiot...]

...Oh.

So the "mutiny" would be you and John and...

[Stops before mentioning the Observer.]

...

[Now he's stuck, as he's not sure how to describe John either.]

You're in charge of the Organization, and you know nothing about it??

[Voice]

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-03-03 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, now I understand. Is he really part of this mutiny you mentioned? How do his goals differ from those of the Organization?

Right...

[Not sure what you were talking about, but moving on...]

If you're still taking requests, I was thinking it would be useful to have a few ducts within the barrier. Perhaps one in the village, in the mountains, at the end of the tunnels leading to the desert, and one at the ruins. That way, we could transport from one duct to another instantly without vehicles.

U-umm....

[All of a sudden, this doesn't seem like such a good idea, considering the last portal that transported people to different points in Luceti. If these ducts had the same effect, everyone would be talking like animals.]

On second thought, cancel that request. Just staying alive is more than enough compensation for me.

Actually, I could use some smoke bombs. Those will definitely be useful on the battlefield and within the barrier. And much easier to create than portals.
