To clarify. Subjects safe for discussion on the open journal systems:

-John (save his recent Shifting advancements; see below)

-John's revival of Jacob.
-Jacob.

Thank you. Please, should you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. However, classified information will not be released without the permission of my creator.

[A voice begins, a woman's; it's rather low in register.] You heard -read- the lady. Also, I want to talk to you kids about the Hunter and what exactly happened, if you don't mind.

I come bearing gifts.

[There's a click and then a recorded conversation: one voice is obviously Jacob's. The other is an unknown man's, surprisingly smooth and low but very, very sharp and cold. The voices are far away, but audible.]

To make any advancements in science you have to take risks.

It wasn't your fucking life at risk!

That's why it was worth it.

...Goddammit. I don't remember anything. Nothing! You've any idea what that's like, do you?!

Would you rather me have chosen one of the others? ...No? Then you should be grateful.

Fuck. [Heavy footfalls, and a door slam. Another click as the conversation ends.]

...Very well.

I was walking outside during the ball when that thing attacked me. I quickly realized that I couldn't kill it, so I was forced to flee. I ran around the park, using the structures to my advantage, getting it stuck several times to buy me a few more seconds each time. Then I fled through the park exit, where it seemed to give up on pursuing me after that point.

Is it that surprising?

I suppose there are several possible reasons. Perhaps it couldn't stand my tactics anymore, or perhaps it may have found some easier prey. No one mentioned any other encounters when I inquired about it to the other residents, but I found it hard to believe that I could have been the only one to encounter it.

So this Hunter is always in the woods, hmm? I suppose I'd better stay away from them. I'd rather not encounter it again if I can help it.

I see. As for the amusement park itself, was that John's creation? I trust he enjoyed his vacation?

The Hunter was quite the nasty little surprise to add to the "amusement," was it not?

Hmm. Should I ask about that voice conversation at the end of your transmission? What was that?

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. And that argument is supposed to be of any significance to us?

[Jay doesn't know because he doesn't recognize Jacob's voice...]

I see. It seems I'll have to inquire about it elsewhere then. Although...do I assume correctly that this is not to be discussed over the journal systems?

Jacob? Is that one of the voices in the argument? Then it would make a little more sense. I'm only vaguely aware of what happened with him, so I'm sure I'm missing some details somewhere.
