Greetings. My name is ANI; the Automated Neutral Intelligence system created for the purpose of observation and cataloging said observations. I and my creator share no affiliations with the "Malnosso" Organization, nor do we align ourselves with designations "John" or "Jacob."
To clarify. Subjects safe for discussion on the open journal systems:
-John (save his recent Shifting advancements; see below)
-Discussions concerning Shifting.
-The Third Party.
Subjects to be avoided (kept to the laptops or in person):
-My creator and myself.
-John's revival of Jacob.
-Jacob.
Thank you. Please, should you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. However, classified information will not be released without the permission of my creator.
[A voice begins, a woman's; it's rather low in register.] You heard -read- the lady. Also, I want to talk to you kids about the Hunter and what exactly happened, if you don't mind.
I come bearing gifts.
[There's a click and then a recorded conversation: one voice is obviously Jacob's. The other is an unknown man's, surprisingly smooth and low but very, very sharp and cold. The voices are far away, but audible.]
To make any advancements in science you have to take risks.
It wasn't your fucking life at risk!
That's why it was worth it.
...Goddammit. I don't remember anything. Nothing! You've any idea what that's like, do you?!
Would you rather me have chosen one of the others? ...No? Then you should be grateful.
Fuck. [Heavy footfalls, and a door slam. Another click as the conversation ends.]

On the topic of the Hunter, why did you feel the need to shed light on that situation? Trying to keep facts straight?
[Unhackable]
As for how secure it is...well. As secure as anything outside the barrier can be.
Actually, I'm shedding very little light. I'd rather hear stories from all of you, to be honest.
[Unhackable]
Does the Third Party still visit it, without a sacrifice to draw them towards it? Is there any estimate about how long those ruins have been around?
...Stories. Why ask when you could have observed everything going on?
[Unhackable]
Now and again; they certainly still have sacrifices, but they've made more secure locations for their work. That temple was abandoned several hundred years ago, but if the organization knows when they aren't telling.
Because I'm not omnipresent, just very good.
[Unhackable]
Would you be able to provide any information about the demographics of the area outside? Are the Organization and Third Party equal in terms of manpower? Are Organization "experiments" such as ourselves a vast minority to the rest of the world?
I was attacked while looking around the park with Professor Sage. Tactical error underestimating the Hunter's speed.
[Unhackable]
Hm, is that all you're willing to part with?
[Unhackable]
Unfortunately, I'm not much of a storyteller. I would provide details if I knew what aspects of the situation you were interested in.
[Unhackable]
No, that will suffice. Thank you.
[Unhackable]
...Was the Hunter programmed to hunt specifically for the wings?
[Unhackable]
...I suppose "programmed" is the closest word to it.
[Unhackable]
Isn't the scientists' goal simply to kill us through the Hunter, though? It can kill any way that it wishes, but it focuses on the wings.
[Unhackable]
[Unhackable]
Then why throw the Hunter at us? Twice, in fact? If they know very well that it doesn't do its assigned task successfully, there must be another reason for it. Is the Hunter a result of something? Or a precursor?
[Unhackable]
I'm afraid I don't know.
[Unhackable]
Have you seen the Hunter in use before? You asked for stories from us about it, so it sounds as if you don't see it in action yourself.
[Unhackable]
Well no, I don't; its got special...how can I say it. Anti-surveillance "equipment," I suppose.
[Unhackable]
Anti-surveillance... Shift technology? Though I had assumed Shifting only works on that which is still alive.
[Unhackable]
Only in certain circumstances. Technically speaking, absolutely anything can be Shifted. It just works much more efficiently on the living since...usually the living are the ones that react to the changes.
[Unhackable]
Usually. So the Hunter makes use of another technology not related to Shifting?
[Unhackable]
...it's hard to explain without going into the mechanics of it.
[Unhackable]
I see. ...I have another question concerning the aging, if I may. What are the children that are born in Luceti? They accelerate through the normal process of pregnancy, so there is something quite different going on there.
[Unhackable]
That's actually- Well, all right, think about it; most pregnancies for creatures such as yourself -IE, either human or very akin to human in nature, biological make up and appearances- have gestation cycles of nine months. If one were to simply accelerate that due to the nature of a world, the baby would literally suck the mother dry of all nutrients; more than likely, she'd have a miscarriage. You'd need circumstances that would alter the rules of reality.
