[Locked to Luceti residents]
[The following message is typed, but an automated computerized voice option is available as well. It will appear on the journal system at around 6AM.]
Approximately three hours ago, the experimental enclosure known as Kin’cora, located in Region Six, was attacked by a cultist army led by the entity known as The General. His forces breached the barrier and began their invasion. Malnosso Security Forces responded in turn and decimated his forces. Just under half of the enclosure's population was killed or taken for sacrifice before the situation was resolved.
By order of the Commandant, the enclosure designated as Luceti has been approved as a temporary refuge for displaced subjects of the Kin’cora experiment. In approximately six hours, subjects will begin to arrive. They will remain there until such a time as they can be moved to more permanent accommodations. Note, the Kin’cora journal system will be deactivated while within the Luceti enclosure.
Cultist activity continues to be high in Region Six. Expect additional supplies to be limited until situation is resolved. Emergency rations will be routed to the enclosure as they become available. Subjects are urged to use current provisions wisely and to cooperate with displaced refugees. For safety purposes the Shift limiting superhuman abilities will be reduced to ten percent. No further details will be made available at this time.
End message.

Someone will want to keep an eye out for where the Kin'corans come from -- be it random appearance or traveling from a specific direction.
...And someone will want to take stock of what is in the grocery store at the current time.

[He really wishes he'd gone out there to farm more often now... well, after this clears up...]

Are you in contact with any of the farm caretakers, Adell? Do any of them have estimates on hand?

Best as I know, we'll have to go out and appraise it right now.

Just gonna cut in here.
A bunch of us actually just started planting a few crops the other day, but they're no where even near close to harvesting. We also have someone out in the fields who looks after things--a pony called Apple Jack. But, I'm not too sure what else is out there.
[He was not going to mention Hamal the Bantha. That was Luke's deal, and he was himself quite fond of the Bantha-chan. Fond enough to not make his presence known as a resource that could be in potential danger. He didn't trust the residents in a time of crisis either.]

But eventually, yes, asking them of their own experiences could prove ... helpful. [To say the least. The survivors would certainly have something to say about the cultists.]

[Pausing. It hadn't seemed entirely important at the time, but now he felt like he should have reported to Albert about it sooner.]
Up until yesterday afternoon I was on a mission. I overheard some people discussing an attack, but they would not speak to me or tell me anything directly.
I wish I had thought to be more suspicious of it.

On average, I find around forty to eighty pounds of bamboo arriving each day. I've noticed that more bamboo arrives on Thursdays and Sundays...there was an especially big arrival yesterday! Most of the bamboo arrives in stalk form, but you can occasionally find bamboo juice and bamboo leaves in separate parts of the grocery store. Ah, and there are bamboo sprouts, too, but we haven't been receiving very many of those lately. Last I checked, there are about two bags of bamboo leaves and five bamboo juices left. I also have a collection of my own in my apartment, since I'm a growing panda.
Does that help?

In the time that it took for Albert to realize he was listening to a talking panda describe in detail what it ate and how much it ate, his thoughts had derailed magnificently from anything else he had been focusing on. This was quite like when he could understand all the mundane chatter of the animals in the forest, but now it was coming from over the journals.
He is silent for a moment as he regains his composure.]
Ah. Yes. That does help. Quite helpful for ... pandas.

[A pause, and then his tone takes a frank edge, nearly hidden under a sigh]
I plan on keeping track of who comes in for meals so no one gets more than their fair share. Not until the shitty rations get here.
no subject
Thank you. Please work with Katara and the others who will be keeping track of rations. They should also be the first to know when the emergency rations start coming in.

Furthermore, we know from drafts and missions that not all enclosures are as well off as this one. At the least, we haven't seen one that's better. They could be uncooperative. To what extent remains to be seen.
