Attention Luceti Residents.

The following names are being called to participate in a strike against the cultist hordes:
[the names listed here appear on the journal.]

All subjects are required to arrive at the tunnels at 8AM on the 27th of March for deployment. All listed individuals are required to be present. Subjects will then be escorted to TERRACE for battle preparation and further details.

Target will be Region One, a former Malnosso stronghold, presently in cultist hands. Subjects are advised to prepare for combat in forested areas. Further information will be made available at TERRACE. Questions and answers will not be provided at this time.

[The Malnosso will not reply to this message, but everyone is free to use this post to discuss among themselves, whether using voice options on the journal or doing action threads.]

The Terrace. TERRACE. At last. [He muses over the difference between simply hearing the term and seeing it properly written out.] This should be interesting.

[He notes the filter and how it could stand to be more complex, but leaves it for now.

It had seemed like a long time since he had seen Buffy, or even spoken to her. Not even 'letters' over the journal. He had only maintained that silence by reminding himself that there was a time when they had not kept up a fair amount of contact.]

Not much. But the name is certainly familiar.

[Well, he could choose not to elaborate. But considering there is not much to tell...]

Very little, unfortunately. It only came up in passing. [If "in passing" meant he had picked up the information through the offhanded inquiries of Yuri Lowell.] It's an Organization facility that is apparently suspended in the sky.

[Pause.] A flying facility with forest terrain? That does sound interesting.

Not much. An Organization facility in the sky. From the way it was spoken of, it seems unique in that way.

It seems my question has already been asked. Am I correct in assuming that there's nothing else to explain regarding your knowledge of this TERRACE beyond what was already related to that Hershel Layton?

[Hah. The Colonel was persistent. He had thought the script he had left would be enough, but it had apparently only piqued his curiosity.]

Besides the fact that it also seems to be an observatory and a base for troop deployment, there is not much more I can add.

It had been mentioned awhile back, in passing. [He has to wonder about the particular way it is presented -- TERRACE. An acronym?] A deployment facility that floats in the sky. The Organization's space research would likely have been conducted from there as well.

[Frey was working his shift in the tea shop when the announcement came. It took him a bit to realize a message had come in, but when he checks, he's not surprised.

It seems like half the people working here had been called upon, really. He decides it's reasonable enough to take a short break from work to read over the message more thoroughly, pausing on his way to take a seat to locate Albert after seeing his response.]

I saw what you said on the announcement of our deployment... do you know where we are headed?

[Albert had been in the kitchen when the draft announcement came through. His responses to the various people over the journal had come between checking on near-boiling water and the sorting of different tea leaves.

All quite the norm in Celsius' Tear.

He looks over at the kitchen entrance as Frey enters. By now, his journal is carefully shut while he fills another teapot.]

Where? Not specifically. I had heard of the place before, though.

[Seeing as both of them being signed up for a draft sounds like a good dinner conversation, after school Raine picks up a meal from Seventh Heaven and heads back to the house.

They'll have to talk at some point.]

Honestly. You just can't stay out of the action lately.

[What a way to be greeted as one comes into the house. Albert slowly lowers the book he had been scanning when he hears Raine's voice, turning in his chair from where he was sitting in the dining room to watch Raine enter.]

Rather terrible, isn't it? It's like I'm cursed.

For TERRACE? High altitude. High enough to serve as an observatory to both land and space. Also likely to serve as a military base, with aerial vehicles and troops deployed from the facility.

[There's a little sigh from the other end of the connection. It's difficult to read any emotion from it other than faint exasperation. When Albert finally speaks, his tone is dry.]

Drafts bring out strange behavior in everyone.

[Law may have his beer, but Albert has his tea. Though he'll definitely be hitting the wine when he gets back to his house.]
